Terms of Service — Shorts Pipeline

1 Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe the operation and use of the Shorts Pipeline application (“the App”). The App is built and operated by Moneounchpan (@moneounchpan on TikTok). We are the sole developer and operator of this application. These Terms outline how we operate the App, the standards we follow, and our obligations with respect to third-party platforms and content.

2 Description of Service

Shorts Pipeline is an automated content pipeline that we developed to:

Extract pages from comic book files (PDF, CBZ, CBR)
Generate “Did You Know” narration scripts using AI vision analysis
Produce short-form videos with AI-generated voice narration
Publish videos to TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram via their official APIs
Collect video performance metrics (views, likes, comments, shares) from platform APIs to analyze and improve our content strategy

The App operates as a command-line tool and uses platform APIs to publish content on our behalf and to retrieve performance data for our own published videos.

3 Our Commitments

As the developer and sole operator of this App, we commit to the following:

We use the App only to create and publish content to social media accounts that we own and control
We are responsible for maintaining the security of all API credentials and authentication tokens
We are solely responsible for all content created and published through the App
We comply with all applicable platform terms of service and community guidelines
We do not collect, store, or process any personal data from any third-party individuals
Video performance metrics we collect (views, likes, comments, shares, reach, impressions) pertain exclusively to our own published content and are used solely to improve our content strategy

4 Content Standards

We operate the App in compliance with all applicable laws and the terms and guidelines of all third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

The App is not used to:

Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Engage in spam, manipulation, or deceptive practices
Circumvent any rate limits, restrictions, or safeguards imposed by the platform APIs

5 Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Ownership

We retain full ownership of all original content created using the App, including AI-generated scripts, voice narration, and composed video content.

5.2 AI-Generated Content

The App uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini API) to generate narration scripts and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to produce audio narration. We acknowledge that:

AI-generated content may require review for accuracy
We are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of all published content, regardless of whether it was AI-generated
AI-generated content is subject to the terms of the AI service providers (Google Cloud Terms of Service)

5.3 Comic Book Content

Important: We are responsible for ensuring that the use of comic book pages in video content complies with applicable copyright law, including fair use principles or any applicable licenses.

5.4 Platform Content Licenses

By publishing content through the App to third-party platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram), we acknowledge that such content becomes subject to the content licensing terms of those platforms as specified in their respective Terms of Service.

6 Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services for its operation:

TikTok Content Posting API — Video publishing
YouTube Data API v3 — Video uploading, scheduling, and retrieving video performance statistics
Instagram Graph API — Cross-posting as Reels and retrieving video performance insights
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech — Voice narration
Google Gemini API — AI vision analysis and script generation
Cloudinary — Temporary video hosting

We acknowledge that:

The availability and functionality of the App depends on the continued availability of these third-party services
Third-party services may change their terms, APIs, or availability at any time without notice
Use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies
We comply with all applicable developer terms and data handling requirements of each platform

7 Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

This includes but is not limited to:

Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated content
Warranties that the App will be compatible with any particular platform API version

8 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be held liable by any third party for:

Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill
Damages arising from the operation or content output of the App
Damages resulting from any interruption, suspension, or termination of third-party services (including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Google Cloud, or Cloudinary)
Content removal, account suspension, or other actions taken by third-party platforms

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9 Discontinuation

Regarding the discontinuation of the App:

We may discontinue or modify the App at any time at our sole discretion
We may revoke the App's access to any third-party platform at any time via the platform's settings (see Section 7 of the Privacy Policy for specific links)
Access to third-party APIs may be terminated by the respective platforms at their sole discretion

Upon discontinuation, all locally stored authentication tokens will be deleted. Content that has already been published to third-party platforms will remain subject to those platforms' terms of service.

10 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we reside, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the application, legal requirements, or third-party platform policies. Any changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
